Commissions
Some
of my more recent commissions for stained glass windows
can be seen here.
I
am always pleased to accept commissions for both domestic
and ecclesiastical stained glass. The latter is a special
privilege.

Millennium
commission for three stained glass windows in St. Michael
& All Saints Church, Bulley, Glos.
|
I
treat each one as a unique opportunity and the design
will reflect the brief from the client or committee and
the architectural setting. |
|
I have
a B.Sc. in Architecture and my early training as an Architect,
together with my experience of conservation work in the
last 15 years, gives me a particular insight into stained
glass in an architectural setting. |

commission 2001

I enjoy
glass-painting techniques and silver-staining and the
use of the best quality 'mouthblown' glasses. I also use
acid-etching techniques on 'flashed' glasses.

Stained
glass made in collaboration with David John for St.
Edward the Confessor RC Church, Keymer, Sussex. 1999.
|
|
I
prefer to use traditional leaded construction and treat
this as an integral part of the design, as did many
of the Arts and Crafts artists of the late l9th. Century,
to whom I often look for inspiration.

Arranging
a Commission
|
|
If
you are interested in having a commission made email
me with as much information as possible about your ideas along
with your contact details and I will contact you personally
to dicuss things further and arrange a meeting.
After
an initial consultation I can give an estimate of commission
costs. I can then proceed with sketch designs as necessary
for applications to Diocesan Authorities, etc.
