He is called in to undertake all repairs to vandalized windows and any other damage needing attention.

Most of the work is planned as part of on-going restoration in connection with stone repairs.

Major work has included:

Complete restoration and conservation of the Great East Window

Removal and re-leading of S. Aisle window

Re-leading of buckled sections of Christopher Whall Glass from the S. Side of the Lady Chapel

Repairs to vandalised windows in N. Ambulatory, East Window Lady Chapel (medieval) and S. Side Lady Chapel (C. Whall).

In recent years we have been involved in restoration work to:-

S. Side Nave Clerestory windows

Quire Clerestory windows (N. and S. Sides)

Quire roof void windows

The Great East Window to the Quire

The Tribune Gallery (S. Side)

These latter projects have involved cleaning, removal of sections for re-leading, overhaul of casements, re-cementing and removal of corroding internal saddle bars and replacement with non-ferrous bars.

Glazing Conservator

This work is always challenging but it is still a pleasure to be involved on such a wonderful building and its important stained glass.
